Your Guilford Team of Shoreline Greenway Trail is holding our first SGT KIDS BIKE SAFETY RODEO on Saturday, May 2 from 9AM to 11AM at A.W. Cox School, and we need 6 volunteers to help!
The rodeo consists of 4 core stations: Bike Safety Check-up, Helmet Fitting, Rules of the Road, and Obstacle Course. It is a lot of fun for kids 5 to 10. They must bring their own bikes and helmets.
Volunteers will assist with overseeing obstacle course safety, station flow, helmet fitting stations, set up and take down. If you can volunteer to help for 2 hours or more, please e-mail Kristen D’Souza (firstname.lastname@example.org), or for any questions.
We are fortunate to have partner organizations, Guilford Police Dept, Zane’s Cycles and Guilford Park and Rec, join our Guilford Shoreline Greenway Trail Team to host this fun event.
And, during the Rodeo, BRING YOUR USED BIKES (kids and adults) TO DONATE to the Bikes for Kids organization. We will collect them at the Rodeo site.
SGT also needs 5 other volunteers on the same Saturday, May 2, to pledge to help between 8am-2pm at the Town’s 2nd ANNUAL GUILFORD CLEAN-UP THE EARTH DAY on the Guilford Green. Please email Pam at email@example.com or call me at 203-453-2271 if you can help.
